I've been following Cathy Woo's work for a few years. I especially like her tangles series. In fact, I used her idea in my teaching. I took close up photographs of branches, leaves, pine needles, bark, etc. and had students create abstract paintings inspired from the photograph they had.
I am a former art instructor/ museum educator who is now retired and finding my voice as an acrylic painter. I grew up outside of Manhattan, N.Y. during the 60's and have been greatly influenced by the work of the abstract expressionists. I love expressing myself by pushing paint around.
